Here at Aqua Lilium, we are huge fans of vintage tackle and have taken inspiration for this design from a centre pin reel. For those of you that are not familiar with this type of reel, they are mostly used for trotting a float along a slow moving river.

However for me, I use mine for stalking large carp in the edge, or under trees. Believe me when I say this, when a carp takes it is absolute mayhem. Its a different feeling from your conventional big pit reel and it is always fun when you place your thumb on the reel to slow the fish down often losing the skin on the end.

Some people will say why the roulette wheel around the outside?

I believe fishing is a gamble, so why not combine the 2.

This design has taken Mark Quinn a while to get right as a new technique for the design was used.
